Chester Borough ISO Rating Revised

All residents should be aware that our ISO rating has been revised to an improved classification.  The impact of this may be to reduce each resident's homeowners insurance cost. 

An ISO rating is done by an independent agency that rates the quality of a community's fire protection.  Several years ago the former Mayor, Dennis Verbaro, inquired and started the process to have Chester Borough ISO fire suppression services reviewed for potential rating change due to the improvements in our overall fire suppression.  He, along with our Borough Administration, and the Chester Fire Department have worked together to complete this review.

In order to benefit from this revised ISO rating all homeowners should forward a copy of the letter the Borough received from ISO to their insurance carrier for a rating review.  Click here for a copy of the letter.
